《伤寒杂病论》为东汉张仲景所著，是中医经典著作，分《伤寒论》与《金匮要略》两部分，前者主攻外感热病，后者专论内科杂病，系统构建了中医辨证论治体系，被尊为 “医方之祖”。

在难经中有“五十八难曰：伤寒有几？其脉有变否？然：伤寒有五,有中风,有伤寒,有湿温,有热病,有温病,其所苦各不同。”伤寒这两字,就广义的定义来说,应该说是“伤于寒”。
以上五种病,广义地来说,都是伤于寒之后所引起的。
另一种外感病我们称为时疫,也就是不管体质如何,男女老少感染时疫之后,都是同一种症状,所以我们可以分为伤寒、时疫这两类,在治病的时候,处方用药的思路略有不同。医圣张仲景为集经方之大成者,以内经热论中六经辨症的思路,很适当地将古人传下的经典汤方,用六经辨症的法则,来让后学者都能很精准地使用经方。
在讲六经之前,我们用一个图来给诸位一个概念,所谓的五运六气中的六气,在一天的十二个时辰,我们分为六气,如图下所示
如果是一般常人正气的运行,是顺时针运行,这是无病的状态,医生必须知道什么健康状态,中医是健康专家,不像西医是疾病专家,病人如果得到肝病,去找西医的肝病专家,结果病人与医生都死在肝病。如果是病情在恶化,往内传,则是由太阳进入阳明或少阳；若进入阳明则不再传,停在阳明；若是进入少阳,则可能进入太阴、少阴、厥阴。
学伤寒论必须学好条辨；伤寒论的条辨是“言简刚中”,中国的相书上讲到“言简刚中”的人是君子、是人才,讲话扼要有条理。张仲景就是一位“言简刚中”的人,也因为他的“言简刚中”,让很多人看不懂伤寒论。因此学完伤寒论的条辨以后,必须做整理,而我的工作,就是已经帮诸位做好整理的工作,不然学完伤寒论,就算整个背下来,没有整理的功夫,还是不会用。
